Welcome to Aikido Suenaka-Ha Ashland at Gym Quest.
It is with great pleasure that Aikido Suenaka-Ha Ashland resume the practice of
Aikido in this space. We welcome your interest in learning about the art of Aikido.
Simply put, Aikido is the study of the way of spiritual harmony. It is at once an
extremely effective form of self-defense, and yet balanced with an equally profound
spiritual path of peaceful reconciliation with humanity.
Our school welcomes you as a unique individual suitable for training irrespective of
your background, skills, or physical ability. As Sensei Suenaka states, all students
grow. The journey of studying the art of Aikido is challenging, life-long, and
rewarding.
Visitors are always welcome and encouraged to stop in to observe, and better yet,
why not step on the mat and join us!

Please fill out the appropriate form(s) that can be downloaded from the links listed or you
Bring the appropriate fees: $5.00 fee for visiting non-Wadokai Aikido members.
(fees do not apply if you are taking the two free trail classes)
If you are joining our dojo please be prepared to write two checks. The first check is for
Wadokai Aikido annual membership dues written in the amount of $35.00.
The second check will be written in the amount of $45.00 for monthly dues or $10.00 if you
doing the per class. At this time you can also a purchase a practice uniform (Gi) for about
$75.00. This amount can be combined with the monthly dues check.
Other equipment you will need is a practice wooden sword called a bokken and a wooden
staff called a Jo. Because people have their personal preferences regarding the structure
of these items, you can purchase them through any supplier such as E-bogu.com.
However, we do have these items for temporary use at the dojo
Once you have completed appropriate form(s) turn them in to the dojo cho or an instructor
along with appropriate fees and have a great class.
As a dues paying student at this dojo also entitles you to practice at the Ashland Dojo at no
additional charge. You can also practice at Brandermill Aikido Club at no attitional charge.
